Parent Commitment letter
As a parent of a Kingdom Hoops Player, I commit to supporting my child, their teammates, and the coaching staff in creating a positive, supportive, and motivating environment. I will uphold the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication and agree to:
Fulfilling Financial Commitments
- Pay team fees, uniforms, and tournament dues on time.Â
- Communicate early if financial hardship arises- transparency helps the team plan.
Commitment
- Ensure your child is on time for practices, games and team events.
- Respond to team communications and participate in team activities when possible.Â
- Conflicts must be communicated to the appropriate coaching representative in advance
- Playing on other select basketball teams during the season is not permitted unless approved.
Communication
- All communication will be done through text message and/or the game changer applicationÂ
- If an issue arises, we expect the issue to be communicated directly and privately with the appropriate organization representative and/or coaching staff member.
Trust & Respect Coaching Decisions
- Allow the coaches to coach and provide coachable moments.Â
- Avoid giving instructions from the stands.
- Reinforce the coach’s message at home.
- Understand that decisions about playing time, positions, and lineups are made with the team’s best interest in mind and are a part of the players developmental process.
- Follow the 24 Hour-Rule – We will not discuss playing time or coaching decisions during or after the game/tournaments. If an issue arises, wait 24 hours before bringing it to the designated organization representative.Â
- Cheer respectfully and refrain from negative comments toward officials, coaches, players or other parents.
- Stay focused on encouragement, not critique.
Any defaming, disrespectful, or negative communication regarding the organization, its players or coaching staff – whether shared on social media, spoken verbally or communicated in writing – may result in suspension or removal for both the player/parent(s) from the organization.
If the above committment is not adhered to, our staff and coaches have the right to suspend and/or permanent removal of your player from this organization.Â
